Vinnola Vox is a new ensemble for early music. The name means the “vining voice”, and describes the entwining vocal lines around a basic musical strain. We are two singers and a lutist who love to explore the different periods and colors of early music. Nancy Mayer (Mezzo Soprano) and Earl Christy (Lute and Theorbo) both were born in the United States, and Liat Alkan (Soprano) was born in Israel. They met here in The Netherlands, and enjoy working together to create the unique sounds and textures this beautiful music provides.
